Sharing warmth, wisdom, and hope

Recovery is possible – and it starts with belonging.

NMSAS Recovery Center is a nonprofit recovery community where people feel welcomed, supported, and seen. For us, that means creating a warm, safe, judgment-free place where healing feels human and people are met by staff who listen, care, and walk with them into whatever comes next.

Our Values and Beliefs

At NMSAS Recovery Center, our work is grounded in these truths:

  • Recovery is possible — for everyone. Healing doesn’t have one pace. It begins right where you are.
  • Choice matters – there are many pathways to recovery. Everyone deserves the freedom to choose their own.
  • Dignity matters – every person should be met with respect, compassion, and care without judgment or stigma.
  • Strengths matter – we see beyond problems to potential. We help each person recognize their own capacity for healing and change.
  • Community matters – recovery is sustained through belonging – whether that means family, peers, or connection within these walls. We help people build community and stay connected.
  • Leadership matters – we practice servant leadership: leading through empathy, humility, and the belief that true care means walking beside, not above.
